Hey everybody I just have a quick question. My girlfriend went to Firestone and found out she needs a new Oil pan. She has a 2000 V6 model mustang and they couldn't find one for less than 250. I found a used one on eBay from a 98 V6 mustang that says it would fit. Can anyone confirm this from experience or have any ideas? Its a good seller and the price is cheap I'm just not sure if It will fit or not. Thanks in advance.

Why does she need a new oil pan? They dont go bad unless you put a hole in them.

It has been leaking for a while now so that's pretty much the reason why. Of course Firestone was saying they wont install it unless its brought with them but I can just get some other place to install it.

Probably just need a new gasket, unless the lip got bent somehow.

Yeah they said it needs a new gasket also.

Yes it will fit from the 98 v6 for your 2000 v6. To be 100% correct just because I'm not a v6 guy you could look under her car, snap a picture then compare it to the one off eBay. If the bolt hole patterns the same and it looks similar your good

Or you could call American muscle they will know n take about 5 min

Dont waste money on a new pan if it just needs a gasket. Firestone probably was gonna charge her for a new pan and then reuse the old one as there is nothing wrong with it and pocket the extra cash.

And I'll get someone else to check that oil pan too. I didn't really trust the guys at Firestone anyway.
