Default Steering wheel trim

i have a gt with the aluminum trim, but it has some wear id like to cover up, can anyone instruct me on how to remove them? i read somewhere that you have to dissasemble the airbag and stuff, but i just want a confirmation that i can just jank them out withou t doing anything else

if it's anything like the 10+ wheels, you just have to stick the end of a wide blade flat head screwdriver under where the outside edge of the trim meets the steering wheel. then just pry it up and out.
