2012 GT - Best Jack Point
I have a 2 1/2 ton hydraulic floor jack the I want to use to rotate my tires-front to back.
I want to jack up one side so I can rotate each side front to back. If I put it mid-point of the car's side, where specifically do I jack it from so as not to bend or break anything???

I know the lift points are the pinch welds but I dont like jacking cars up there. I lift mine from the K-member and rear diff. Only problem is you need jack stands for this. If you had frame connectors they would be ideal for a one sided lift.

I get where you're coming from -- I like to jack the car up from the side when I'm changing tires too. But the concern about the pinch-weld is valid -- that's why I purchased a jacking insert just for this purpose.

There are others that make inserts as well (UPR comes to mind) but I liked the design of this one and the fact that it doesn't need to be welded to the side rail.

I like that insert never used one. Looks like it just slips over the pinch weld. I have had my car up multiple times on the pinch welds no problem. Depending on the job however I have used other spots. What are you jacking it up for. That would help with placement.
