Default Rear window adhesive?

I've got an '08 vert. The bottom corners of the top, on the outside of the rear window, are starting to pull away from the rear window glass. Thankfully, I have no leaks--yet. Is there an adhesive I can use to repair this before it gets any worse? Or should I take it to the dealer or a convertible top specialist for the repair?

Thanx for your help.

I would recommend to take to a specialist..not sure the material would take any regular glue, but special glue.

I found this thread on a Corvette forum. I bought the glue online, and once I get it, I'll try it. It can't hurt!

It worked! Even with FL sun/humidity and daily thundershowers, it's still holding!

Not bad for $20!

Make sure you put tape on the convertible top where you don't want the glue to go. It dries white, and it you're not careful, it can get messy. Just take it slow, and don't use too much glue.

The mustang I bought has a Convertable top which the window has come out of the top an starting from the bottom. I found a glue at Walmart called Goop RV sealant/adhesiv. I tested it on the bottom following the directions on the tube and it worked. I took a razor to clean it up then ran one more bead on it to make it look good and so far it's great. It's holding nice and solid with no signs of coming apart. I can post pics if you'd like. The tube was 3$

Check this out! Last month I had a brand new 2012 GT convertible in my shop with this problem already.

Tell your friends to watch their back windows. Get them replaced if needed while still under warranty.
