when i was going to put my fuel pump in i noticed this in my gas tank

it is like the same thing on the fuel pump bracket line. i was wondering if this was so posed to be attached to something inside my fuel tank? or did some **** hole leave it in there when they changed the fuel pump last

ahh thats the baffle and looks like some broken off lines. bet that baffle moves around(not supposed to)

looks like the return line stop valve just keeps the fuel from emptying out of the return line untill there is enough pressure. It acts as a stop other wise it would siphon fuel out of the rail and youd have air in the rail each time you start it.

thats what i thought, i was only confused because my return line still had one on there lol, i guess someone left it in there when they changed the pump last, i jus wanted to make sure it didnt come off something inside the tank.
mattdel what do u mean broken off line, is that pipe not so posed to be there? nd what do u mean about the baffle
