Default Mid-Engine '69 Mach 1

Check it out here:Meet the Mach 40 Mid-Engine Mustang

Eckerts calls the project the Mach 40. It's a Mustang on the outside (mostly) with a Ford GT under the skin. The wonders of the SEMA auto show never cease.

What do you think of it? Engineering masterpiece? Tragic disappointment? Let us know!

Its not a new idea the first mustang prototype was mid engine and the mach 2 prototype was a mid engine as well.

i like it but it loses the essence of the mustang. It is too low and looks as though they used the majority of the gt40 rear end and molded it into the mustang body.
the wheels need to go as well.
just because someone can do something doesnt mean they should.
it is cool looking though but seems to me a waste of a good gt40 and mustang sheet metal.

It was probably a wrecked GT40.

I wouldn't build it, but I'd definitely drive it.

Wow, that is really well done! I think Ford should look harder at this car for the next gen Ford sports cars, back seats are over rated (Seriously).

Absolutely beautiful blended sheetmetal, great aero, nose extention makes the car look so "Sharkey",but do something other than farm inplement looking wheels.
