mustang speedometer not working and wont shift out of second gear
I just recently traded my firebird for a mustang v6. Its a 95 and when I traded it had no problems. Recently the speedometer quit and it will not shift out of second gear. The odometer stopped working also. I have replaced the egr valve, throttle position sensor and some vacuum lines before this started happening. When all this started happening I replaced the speed sensor and nothing changed. Please help!!

The odometer is probably a worn out worm gear in the cluster. Very easy to fix (if you know how to take your gauge cluster apart), and realitivity cheap to fix too. As for not shifting out of 2nd, do you have a 5 speed or auto? If 5 speed do all the other gears work?
