Default small question

Hi everyone, first time post.

i have in my possession a 1985 8cyl 5.0 S-V-0 convertible, according to the records its one of only 9.

i was wondering if anyone knew the going rate on one considering there are only 9 (convertible models) and of them not sure how many are still on the roads.

my fiance and i might be thinking of selling it to help pay for our wedding since we both already have cars.

its not in terribly great condition but it does run. its got white leather interior but the Driver side has a small tear in the seat. and needs a little body work + a new convertible top

anyone able to answer would greatly be appreciated

Are you absolutely sure you own a 1985 Mustang SVO 5.0 convertible?

the apraiser we had come out and take a look at it labeled it as a SVO due to the engine in it/ front bumper/ grille all specific to the SVO.

Not an SVO. SVO is a 2.3l turbo 4 cyl. This is what an SVO looks like.

You have a GT convertible. Here's one just like it but in much better shape. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...nal&listType=1
You fix it up and could sell it for a lot more than what you'd get for it right now.

well thats most disappointing, when i was told by my fiances granny its a SVO i was excited because the power it has crushes my 2001. but after seeing everything about it points to it being a LX or a GT im deeply saddened.

pulled the VIN up on the ford website and it has it listed as a LX while granny wants to fight it to her death that its a SVO. not sure how much it would cost to fix it up and not too interested in fixing it up to pristine condition just to sell for the cost of all the repairs....
after looking at it and taking pictures this morning, i saw everything thats wrong with it.

rear axle is tweaked slightly
needs a new paint job,
new windshield
new seats,
needs full detailing
and needs a new convertible top.

anyone have a idea how much it would take to get this going?
