Default 96 Mustang GT 4.6L Strut Tower Brace

I have put a reman'd 4.6L 2V into my 96 GT and I have mounted a new Accufab 70mm Throttle Body and Plenum combo on the engine. Now the factory strut tower braces will not fit.

Can anyone recommend to me a 3 point attach strut tower brace that will clear the Accufab assembly? I would need a distance of about 19 to 20 inches from the firewall out to the cross member of the brace to allow the brace to clear the Accufab and the planned Steeda Cold Air Intake. The front cross member of the brace should pass over the back side of the alternator for good fitment. I would prefer the brace also bolt into the factory drilled mount holes in the strut towers and the firewall.

Thanks for any recommendations.

This was the best I could find for you. I'm actually looking into the same for my GT.

Thanks for the response. I have asked American Muscle to perform a measurement on the dimensions of the the SR Performance strut tower brace you linked. SR Performance is the American Muscle "house brand" and they will call down to the AM warehouse and have a brace measured.

I also have Maximum Motorsports doing the same measurement of a brace they have. Here is a link to the brace for my 96 GT.

Im guessing, but maybe one from a 96-97 cobra might fit. Im not sure if its the same design as the GT since the manifold is way different. Along with TB placement. It should bolt right up. You could probably find one for sale cheap

if it will clear your intake, check local mustang for sale adds and you might be able to find a stock take off one for a couple $

Has anyone in these forums used these Steeda Autosports strut tower braces? I asked Steeda for the dimensions of the brace I might need but they will not give me those dimensions.

I have purchased a Steeda brace. I will report back here with the result.

Thanks for your advice.
