Hello, I just bought this 93 Notch with this Kenne Bell Super Charger and I have a question about white smoke upon acceleration. WHen I hammer it out of the hole THe Boost kicks in ( setup up at default 8 psi ) I am getting white smoke out of exhaust pipes, just under boost conditions, is there a problem?

I did not put the S Charger on, it came with the car.

Likely a blown head gasket. Im not a sc expert so assuming the intake is not leaking the only thing I can think of is a failing head gasket.

Wow, I hope not, i was told it was normal under boost, did not sound normal to me.

Well like I said I am not a super charger expert, in fact have never owned one, but a few guys I know have them and Ive never seen them blow any white smoke out of the hole even under high boost. There are a few guys on here that run sc engines , so Im sure later on one of them will give there opinion , and Im sure they know better than me , but Id say its not normal.

blown head gasket. Not normal.pop your radiator cap off and start it and let it run. Do you see small bubbles rising in the coolant? If not it could be a very small leak that only presents itsself under boost like you say.

I would keep a check on oil, supercharger oil, and water....

Did someone ride behind you or did you look in the mirror?

Thanks for all the replies, I will check the radiator cap, and both, I saw and someone road behind me, a friend of mine said that my car smells rich. Starting it and letting it idle it seems to be rich.

regardless of what people tell you about fuel smoke being black only, it can be white too.

What do you have for fuel management? a fmu?
