Default 96 2v to 4v swap questions

Hi,
I am playing with the idea of swapping a 4v from a 2004 Mach 1 into my 1996 GT. What parts would I need that I can't reuse from my current setup? Should I use the Mach 1 harness or modify my current harness? Would everything be plug and play if I use the harness and computer from the Mach 1? Thanks for the help.

If this belongs in the swap section, feel free to move it obviously. I just figured the swap section was for build/swap threads.

if the engine has from intake to oil pan and the exhaust manifolds it will almost be a drop in. you will need bigger injectors, 24#s will due, cai, and maybe a flexplate/flywheel. And don't for get the tune.

Thanks, didn't think about the injectors. The guy might be including them with the engine, but I'm not sure. Engine comes with flywheel so thats covered. My current CAI will not work? Was kind of hoping to bolt up my current one while I get all the parts for the shaker intake (Not included with the engine unfortunately).

If I use the Mach 1 computer and harness, will I need the tune? I know a tune is usually a good thing to do regardless, but will it run without it like stock? I can't think of why it wouldn't, but I want to make sure.

For the time and cost of changing the complete harness over, the tune would be cheaper. Unfortunately your cai will not work, but 03-04 mach or 99/01 cobra will. I didn't think about it before but you will need the 4v coolent hoses and thermostat housing.
