a little help and advice needed
hi peeps.
ok i have found a gt in my all time favourite colour for sale.
it's gone 60 000 miles. has some history ect..nice set of magnaflows and 19 inch wheels aswell.
i drove it yesterday.wow so much more stable on the road than my v6 vert..rock solid in fact.
now the main reason i really want this car is coz of the colour..with some chrome this blue looks amazing imho.
now he wants my v6 vert( in mint condition having only gone 12k miles)
and 5k usd..
some feedback and advice would be nice lads..and what you would do in my posistion.
here is the car.

Why does he want your v6? Imho that sounds a little fishy plus cash ontop of it. For him he would be downgrading for a v6 so it would rasie a question of is something wrong with his GT that you cant see from just a simple test drive? Accident, oil leak, ect?

he's a small time dealer..thing is i so love this blue..very hard to find in sweden aswell..

thing is i dont wanna spend any more on my v6..gone as far as i want..i get a gt in my favourite colour i can go as far as i wish..sc ect...the magnaflows sound very nice..am i right in saying the coupe handles way better than a vert? this beast was rock solid compaired to my vert..the vert suffers with shudder when going over pot holes.

If hes a small time dealer then by trading in your car plus giving 5 grand in cash i feel like he would be making out really well considering your v6 has very low mileage. He'll probably try and sell your v6 for 10-12k to somebody plus your extra 5k you gave him he makes out really well. How much is he asking for the GT? You might be better off selling your v6 to somebody else then trading it to him

he's asking 20k usd...thats what they cost here..mines up for sale but selling cars here isnt easy..
is 60k miles a lot?
i'm looking at it again tomorrow.
the coolant looked a little dirty.
what are the main things i need to be looking at?
there's no oil leaks i know that.looks nice underneath..needs a good steam clean and polish up ofc..thats no problems for me..
my wife hates the white stripes though..can they be removed easily?
thanks for ya replies guys.
cheers ole phucker

It's hard to say what the market is like where you are but in the US your '07 car would be worth as much or more than his '05 mainly because of the super low miles on yours. I wouldn't offer more than $1000 on top of your '07.

He's getting a low mileage and newer vehicle, despite it being a V6, for that '05. If the '05 suffers from the chronic water leak and the stepper motor issues in the instrument cluster, then absolutely walk away. If not, then even offering $1k is a stretch. I think it's a bit silly to pay $4k more just for a color.
'05 GT's in the states are going for $9k to $13k.
