Question long tube headers???

Ok so i found some long tube headers on craigs list for$200. The guy had them titled as 351 swap for 5.0. I asked him if they will bolt up to my 88 gt hatch and he said he was sure they would but they hang a little lower. Is this true will they bolt up will they hang too low? I have some shorty headers on it already (no names or knock offs $100 new on ebay). R the long ones worth it? Oh fyi they came off of a 5 speed and my car is also a 5 speed. Thanx any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'd steer clear of that "deal"... why take a chance? If they don't bolt up like you think, or if they hang too low, you're pretty much screwed... I mean that dude ain't gonna give you your money back. My $0.2

Long tubes are worth it, but you need ones designed for a 302.

I agree.....I wouldn't get them unless you knew 100% they were gonna fit.

Nevermind the price... Maybe I'm just a tight wad, but $200 for used headers is a no-go... $75 max... Nothing rusts faster than used headers.

Honestly man you can buy a set of decent long tubes for about 250 on ebay they will be new and correct for the 88. Why should that guy on cl get 200 for a set of used headers unless there some really good ceramic coated name brand headers, but even then your taking a chance they wont be a good fit for your car...............
Long tube headers are going to be a pain to install at the least , and if there not for your car they will be a nightmare to install....

I think that if the headers were designed for a 351W that they are defintely going to be hanging too low for any good use with a 302......
