okay i noticed something weird with my rear shocks in my 2008 gt. the kw v3 rear shocks come with 2 bushings, 2 washers, and on the shock itself is a little metal sleeve. I believe its creating a small gap between the bottom bushing and the body. Are these supposed to have space there? Or is something wrong?

Was I supposed to leave that sleeve on or was it just there for protection during shipping?

Is there supposed to be movement in there a little or is the bottom bushing supposed to be sandwiched against the body completely. The shock itself was installed properly it isnt flying up and down in the trunk but the bottom half of it must have some play because of how its set up right now

The bottom bushing should have a nipple that sticks up through the body and the top bushing goes over that. The sleeve you speak of must be for shipping and the bushing should be sandwiched against the body. It goes washer, bushing, body, bushing, washer, nut, from bottom to top.

A pic would help, not sure how there is a gap or where.
