Stiff ride on 18" Wheels?
Hi guys...
I mentioned this in another thread, but though I might ask you as well. I bought the 18" Staggered Bullitt wheels with the Sumimoto tires and the ride seems very stiff, even for an 18" wheel. Can you make suggestions for loosening it up a bit and also, what is the pressure you ship the tires inflated to?

Kevin,
There isn't much room for cushion with an 18" rim, unfortunately. However, we do ship the tires over inflated so they're seated correctly during shipment. You MUST deflate the tires to the appropriate psi after receiving them. Check the inside of your door for the correct psi front and back. It's typically around 33psi.
Give that a try and see how things feel. If they're still too stiff, then you need to look at suspension from there. Keep me updated!

Sorry for any confusion! It's always good to check your vehicles tire psi monthly, let alone when getting new tires. I highly suggest picking up a cheap tire pressure gauge in the near future. You'll find it's very useful to keep on at home!

No problem, Shane. It's something I should have thought of and didn't. The tires were at 40 psi and I deflated them to 32. Much better...
