sputtering cleveland
have a 69 grande with a Cleveland motor that runs good as long as your pushing the gas pedal, if you ease up, it starts to run rough. idles fine, any ideas?

You're saying it stumbles when you let off the throttle? In neutral, deccel in gear, what rpm etc.

not a problem in neutral, haven't really checked the rpms when this is happening, all this started when I took it in for a tune-up a couple of weeks ago.

So what, when you're cruising normally and just let off the gas?
Does it idle rich?

Yes, it does it when I cruise, took it back to the shop and they are going to check the
carb on Monday.

It could just be a slightly rich idle and/or no dashpot.
