Low fuel after valve cover install

Low fuel after valve cover install
Help! I have either missed something or screwed something up.
I painted and reinstalled my valve covers and now I have the low fuel warning and it says 0km till empty (on the system status). The actual gas dial says I have over 1/2 tank and the car starts fine.
Any one have any insight into what it could be?
