broken valve spring
just bought a brand new 2014 ford mustang with 60 miles on it. On my way home the next day i bought the car coming from a buddies house i heard a clicking noise coming from the engine and a loss of power turns out it was a broken valve spring. Should i be concerned with damage to other components with the engine and what should ford do for me. Oh yea and i had to drive it close to 5 miles from where i heard the noise to my house

You probably have a bent valve (at the least) and possibly some damage to the piston. The dealer should fix the problem at least. You might be able to make a big enough stink to get them to swap the car for a different one if you are that concerned about additional issues coming up in the future.
Good luck...

Any damage to the piston would be minimal, and would not be enough to warrant replacing them. It would have little ‘kiss’ marks on it from where it came in contact with the valve. The car is still under warranty. If they don’t fix it the right way then you take it back until they do. Good luck...
