Default Adding Factory Nav from a totaled mustang

Let me say thank you for taking the time to read this, as its my first post in the forums, and its for my first mustang! Proud owner of a 2014 Deep impact Blue 5.0!

My main question is, if i were to find a totaled mustang that had a nav, what all would i need to swap out the current sound system (I have the GT Premium, so it came with the shaker system.)

has anyone done this before?

Well everyone is different but I did not think it was/is that much work. I was plannong on doing it but found a much cheaper option. I bought a Samsun Galaxy 7.0 Plus tablet and just downloaded a Navi App ($8.00) that gives me real time navi (plus all the extras) and just use velco to attach it to my radio face plate.

Bought the tablet on ebay for $140 + $8 Navi app and it worked great for what I use it for.

That's pretty hoopty. But I like it. So the navi app...how does it work? I didnt realize that the samsung tablets were GPS capable. I have a Note 10.1 (I think...) and it'd be really nice to have GPS on it.

Heck, I just realized that you probably used the bluetooth to connect this to the SYNC on your ride and have this thing rock.

I do the same thing with my Iphone. I can't stand the turn now directions of the nav without the screen.....

So I just dock my ipad by the shifter and run it though the bluetooth and have it give directions.

Yeah the velcro was "hoopty" haha and ended up not holding due to the heat so I bought a A/C vent holder thing off ebay ($14.00) and use that now and it looks alot better.

Yes I have it connected to my SYNC system so I use it for all my music and GPS and it goes through the B/T system. Works great.
