Default Intake manifold crack, what to expect?

Alright, so I'm heading down to go purchase a 99 4.6 GT with a cracked intake manifold. Car dumped radiator fluid all over the place out of the manifold, etc... Car has been sitting for 3 years and was started once a year ago in that period of time. It has 80k miles, other than replacing the intake manifold with a PI model and the 01 up alternator bracket, siphoning the tank, emptying the fuel lines and fuel filter, changing the oil, changing the thermostat, putting in fresh antifreeze, and checking the plugs. Is there anything I should do before starting it, or even check before purchasing? The owner states they were fighting ford to get them to cover it under the recall but that in the long run they said you are 6 months out of the recall warranty and didn't cover it. Advice?

Well, they want 3300 for the car. Im figuring 1k for the top to be done, 600 for tires, 300 for the intake , plugs...coils...coolant...thermostat...etc...300?. ..so 2200? 5500 total...

You are taking a pretty big gamble that the heads aren't trashed. $3300 is a bit rough on a non running car that has been on the road in 3 years.

Found out they charged up the battery and tried to start it yesterday. It started right up surprisingly, though they didn't run it for long due to the leakage... Why would the heads be trashed because of a cracked intake manifold?
