Weight reduction

Weight reduction
How much of a reduction can a carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber trunk, rear seat delete, one piece aluminum driveshaft, skinnies up front, 17's in the back reduce in the 1/4 mile on a full bolt on 5.0??

Driveshaft is advertised as .2, I can verify. More of a piece of mind thing and get rid of some drivetrain slop. Driver mod is the best. Rotational weight counts for more than shedding dead weight, so wheels and driveshaft make up more than the 100/.10s accounts for. Not sure of what that number is though. Have you already removed the rear seat?

Look into a carbon fiber driveshaft 15lbs, and tsw rotary forged wheels in the 18 inch size. 18 lbs a piece. If you had the factory 19's you would shed 12 lbs per wheel, and 30 lbs in the drive shaft. 54 lbs of rotating mass at least removed. If lighter tires were used a long with some lighter rotors even more could be removed. I'm not sure if there is a company that makes forged aluminum axles..but now im starting to get a bit extreme. Drive shaft and then rims will make the biggest difference in weight loss.
