SSBC power conversion and booster predal problems 66
Anyone do the SSBC power and dual bowl conversion on their 65/66? Having problems with brake pedal stiffness and travel of the brake pedal. I've looked in the forums here and see it's seems to be a known problem. I see Scott Drake also has some kind of setup for the pedal that changes the angle of the push rod. Anyone have luck with this? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm running manual also, and other than the push rod retainer for the new MC (that SSBC doesn't provide), my system is fine. Did you have to cut/drill the firewall to place the new power booster, or did you use the stock mounting points? If you have a hard pedal, its likely because you have a vacuum leak to the booster. When a booster fails or has a leak, the result is a hard pedal. I'd make sure you don't have a system problem, before spending additional $ for an offset push rod. The only reason for an offset push rod is if you had to change the position of the booster and MC in relation to the brake pedal.
