Default Transmission question

I pulled the pan on my trans to change the seal. there is some crap on the magnet. was curious as to how much it looks like or how bad it is. seen A LOT more in the bottom of a trans but have never had then off one of these 4.6l motor trans's. The trans shifts fine and I have had no problems with it. I was going to jmod it.

its a 96 , likely over 100 thousand miles.
Pretty normal the magnet is doing its job.

As long as its shifting and not slipping don't worry

That is most likely just clutch material. Its pretty normal, I wouldn't worry about it.

Didn't know if that looked like a lot of clutch material or not.

Ive seen them so covered in material that you wouldn't know there was a magnet there at all until you got rid of a bunch of crap off of it.

As long as there are no big shavings or a lot of flakes or worse big chunks I wouldn't worry about it. Clean it off and let it be.

Thats what I was thinking. I just didn't know with these transmissions. I got it all back together and everything is fine.
