Default What Transmission is in my 01 Mustang???

The TR code reads URR22

I know I am looking for a 6 (T45), 5 (T5), or K (T3560). Mine ,however, starts with the letter "U".

What does this mean? I am for sure looking in the right spot. It's in the same exact location as the picture from AmericanMuscle.com shows it at.

Fingers crossed its not a T45!!!

A "U" is a 4 Speed Automatic AODE/4R70W

5 - 5 speed V6 - (T50D/TR3150)
B - 6 Speed Cobra (T56)
K - 5 Speed GT (TR3650)
U - 4 Speed Automatic (AODE/4R70W)

If I took a picture of the transmission do you think you could identify what it is?

We can try and help you trouble shoot, it sounds like someone did a trans swap though. Post up some pictures and we'll check it out!

Best I could do...

On the side of the tranny it reads : "Termac CCCA1271AG"

I've also been informed that the drain plug of the T45 goes to the side, and the drain plug of the T3650 goes down. What does the drain plug look like?
