67 stang with fuel problem
67 coupe with fuel problem. Thought is was a crimp in the fuel line from the tank to the pump, replaced it since it needed it anyway, took off the pump to see if was pumping...nothing, so I replaced the fuel pump even though it had a new on on it....checked fuel filter before the pump, has a brand new carb...doesn't seem to be pumping gas, has a new tank...am I missing something? What heck else could it be?

Coupla' things to check, kinda sorta in this order:
Prime the motor in the carb with a ½ shot glass (or less) of gas. May need to run a bit to haul fuel all the way from the tank.
No luck, then:
Disconnect the feed line going to the pump and see if you can siphon gas from the tank. Some air pressure back at the filler neck should get it flowing. Or go old school and suck on the line. ...hehehe, be careful.
If you get gas up to there, then make sure the fuel pump cam eccentric is doing it's job.
If you've got fuel up to the pump, and the pump is being actuated you should get gas up to the carb.
What kind of filter do you have between the pump and the tank? is the flow correct?
On this "new tank", is the sending unit installed correctly?

Not sure about the cam eccentric or how to tell if that is working, was I supposed to do something different then remove the other pump (which was new) and reinstall another one?
I will try to attach a vacuum pump to the newly install line. The pick up for the tank is installed correctly as it was running about 3 months ago, although with a hick up which prompted me to look at the gas line in the first place.
Just have a regular filter bought at O'reilly's and the flow is correct with the part that says "in" as being gas from the tank going towards the pump then out to the fuel pump. Maybe I will try to eliminate that altogether.
