Ok.. So I am looking at getting some work done on my 2003 Mustang V6.. I bought all the parts and just need them installed.. Here is the list of work needed:

1. Replace Shock/Struts All Around
2. Replace Master Cylinder and Bleed Brakes
3. Install Subframe Connectors
4. Install BBK Upper and Lower Control Arms
5. Adjust Exhaust Tip and Check Exhaust System

Was quoted 1,400 to do all the work.. Again I have all the parts just need the install.. Was told that the shocks/struts would be about 4 hours, replacing master cyclinder and bleeding brakes about 1 hour, subframe connectors about 2-3 hours, and installing control arms about another 3 or 4 hours.. Just wanna get an idea if this is a fair price or if the work is being overpriced..

Prices vary wildly depending on the area. Here's what I'd do, get three quotes from 3 different places and go with who not only has the best prices but the best over all reviews.

I have no idea on 3 and 4 but 1, 2 and 5 could be done at a high school autoshop class easy. Have you considered asking a local high school shop class about letting them do it for their study?
Back in 86 I did my own brakes. It's not that hard. Had a shop do them...twice...and they kept failing. Turns out they were leaving some needed clips off the pads. Found some in a junk yard and was good to go. As for shocks I helped a friend do his Nova back in the day and dont recall it being difficult. But Im wearing my rose colored glasses so it could be a lot different than I remember. I was 17 back then too lol..and had tools. Now days I have none..its like "tools?? Whats that??" hahaha. Good luck.

Oh at a guess if I had my mechanic do all those he would maybe charge $800 if Im lucky. But thats a guess and for my area and a nice honest mechanic.

If you already have all the parts, that is a rip off. Keep shopping.
And send the upper control arms back. You don't want them.

Seesh, hell, i'd do it for $400 since you got the parts.. Yeah that's a rip off.
