Default MGP caliper covers

Hey guys. In the near future I'm looking into getting the MGP covers. Now I already know they look awesome. But how well do they curtail brake dust? That is the main reason I would be buying them. My front brakes throw off so much dust it turns my black rims almost brown.

Honestly...it doesn't make a difference on my car.

I have Hawk HPS and I have to clean the wheels just as much.

I have noticed the MGP caliber covers helped a little with brake dust on our 2011 GT auto, but it's very minimum. I wish they helped more, but it seems that brake dust is a problem for all sports cars.

That being said, I love the way the look on our grabber blue '11 GT! Since this GT doesn't have the Brembo package, it really needs something to shine up the inside of the wheel!

Shane will changing to y'all's hawk or proact brake pads help reduce dust? Has anyone noticed a difference?

if you're looking for low dust, the Hawk HPS is NOT the pad for you. I've read good things about the Hawk Ceramics being a lot better dust wise though. I'd read up more on that.

+1 if dust is a concern, go with ceramics. Way less dust although cold bite is not as good as Semi-metallic. Once they are warmed up and matched to a good set of rotors, they blow away the semi-metallic and aren't as likely to fade in heavy use scenarios.

These guys nailed it! The Hawk Ceramic pads will help reduce brake dust to a point. They're certainly better than stock pads, but some brake dust is inevitable.

The other plus to upgrade to Hawks Ceramic pads is increased stopping power over the factory pads. The Ceramics are designs for strictly street use, but they have a killer bite too!
