Default option to buy a 2010 premium gt need help

Hello,
Need everyones opinion on a 2010 gt premium, its black with tinted windows, leater, 5 speed, bama tuner... I havent seen the car in person yet going to look at it tom or wed night. The price is 22k and the car has 26k miles on it. Opinions what to look for... what does the car do as far as 1/4 mile i havent been up to speed on them.

Too high. For a couple grand more, you can get in a low-mile '11GT. That's only a few more bucks a month on your payment, if that is an issue.
The '10 still has the 3V 4.6, you are looking at mid 13s in stock form. Serious power requires a SC.

+1

The 2010 GT is simply a 4.6L running the FRPP/Bullitt tune for 15 more CRANK HP over the stock '05-'09 4.6L. With a good CAI & custom tune, it's identical RWHP to the 05 thru 09 with the same CAI & tune.

And $22k is about $4k-$6k too high. Leftover base model '13 GT's with the 5.0 can be had for mid to upper $20k's.

Looks like an OK deal to me. Low miles and it's a "Premium" which means you get leather and all the niceties. For most people it's not only about speed. And, it's no slouch in the speed department either. I think the 5-speed transmission is a better gearbox than the 6-speed as well. At any rate, the price is not out of line in my area. The area in which you live will have a big effect on price.

Test drive that car. Then go test drive a 5.0 (2011+). I am a betting man, and my bet is that after driving the 5.0 you won't even think about buying a 4.6L. Not that they are a bad car, but they are nothing compared to the new coyote. Plus, that price is high. Some food for thought: I bought my 2012 GT Premium Convertible with 29,500 miles for $26K.

The price for the 2010 seems a bit high, at least for the area I live in. I've come across several in the high teens. Good luck!

This sounds like a pretty clean car! These guys have all made some great points but it all comes down to what you're after. The 2010 GT does still have a 3V motor (which is a great motor) it just won't make us much power as the 2011+ GT's with the 5.0 under the hood! It's pretty easy to find a low mileage 2011+ in the mid-high 20's without a problem, if this is in your price range it's definitely a great option.

The 2010 3V GT's are pretty sound. There's no real "things to look for" on this car as far as issues go!

I hope this helps! Good luck on your search.

Thanks everyone, i am still going to go look at it and drive it since I havent driven a new stang. I still have my 1995 but would imagine the new ones will be much nicer to cruse around in. I dont need another car this was a bank repo so i thought I might get lucky and get a deal I couldnt pass up. I will probably end up waiting another year and get a 5.0, but the bank doesnt know anything about this car so it may have a supercharger for all I know. the guy in charge said there is something laying in here with SCT on it, i dont know what it is...lol so It wont hurt to look..
