Hello,

I am going to install my new Steeda Ultralights into my 2014 Mustang GT TP. I've seen a few videos from Late Model Restoration and their installer didn't use a spring compressor but I've read other install sheets and they said a compressor is needed for the front struts? Can someone with a newer 2012+ Mustang GT confirm a compressor is needed to install performance lowering springs?

Looking forward to getting my car at the stance it needs to be but I want to make sure I have all the right tools!

Yes you will need it. You can severely hurt yourself if you don't use one. The aftermarket springs might not need a lot of compression to get to fit but the stock springs are a good 3-4 inches longer than your struts. Good luck with the install. You won't be disappointed with the ultralights.

You leave a deposit when you pick it up, and get it back when you return everything.

Just remember all those little ***** from the top plate will fall out.

I was as careful as could be with removing it (yes I used a spring compressor too) and still had several of them fall out onto the towel while taking them apart.

Easy enough to put back together but make sure you have all them.

Thanks, I bought some but they lost it before I got to the store (really?!?!?). They did give me the rental which was a nice kit; better than what I attempted to buy off of their website (Adv Auto).

13V6Coupe ... I read this too late, one side I didn't get the ball-bearing surprise but the other side I did. Easy to get them back in but about 80% fell out after I got the strut assembly out of the car.

Onto the rear in a few hours this morning. I'll post some pics!
