'12 3.7l v6 VS Vortec Fox
Just to start, I wanna say that the fox is tired, definitely seen better days..... just saying.
So, there's a younger fella around town that has been trying to beat me ever since I got my car. From the time I was stock to the point I'm at now, he has tried to beat me, and mod his car until he could. He finally got it right this time......
His car is I believe an '87 GT: Shorties, tb/plenum, 3.73's, couple other boltons, and a Vortec A-trim putting out 8psi.
My mods are in my sig.
We line up from a 35 roll, I honk it off, and from the hit through 2nd we are dead even. Through my 3rd into fourth gear he pulls out 1-1.5 cars, and I start reeling him in as I try to run 4th out. He lets out at about 105-110, with me back ~1 car.
We did this roll 2-3 times, each time going the exact same, give or take a fender either way.
First gear roll, 10-15 mph, I honk it off, we both spin through 1st, I feather 2nd a little better then him and pull out .5 car, then here he comes. By the time he ran out of 4th (105-110mph), he had only come around by .5 car.
Overall, I was pretty pleased with the outcome. No one likes losing, but meh, I've beat him enough over the last 2 years that he can get one. I told him though, the street is only half the story. He's got his hands full with my car at the track, plus I've gotten pretty damn good on the tree too!
