Shifter/transmission feels spongy when shifting to 4th at high rpm
When shifting into 4th gear after redlining 3rd, the transmission feels really odd like it doesnt go completely into 4th gear, and feels very spongy and just not right at all.
But it actually is in gear because i can let the clutch out and accellerate fine and it doesnt seem to pop out, but it just feels so wrong trying to get it into 4th at high speeds..
I recently put royal purple transmission fluid in the car and it didnt seem to change anything. Anyone else experience this issue? Any solutions or suggestions?

Your oil will make no difference at all in the shifting. I too run royal purple. Did the clutch feel tight? Or stuck? These come with plastic clutch lines stock that expand and contract with heat and use from being run through the engine bay. If you can I'd suggest picking up a steel braided line. About 50-60$ for a nice one and well worth the crispness/smoothness of your shifts.

The clutch felt normal as far as i can tell, but putting it into gear felt like it wouldnt go all the way in gear and felt sloppy and wrong..
At first I thought i missed the gear but it was actually in 4th, it just didnt feel like it went into 4th judging by the shifter feel , so i took it out of 4th and tried to get it in better and just pulling the shifter into 4th felt spongy and messed up and like it wouldnt go all the way into gear(but it was in 4th and didnt pop out when i let the clutch out), I did that about 3-4 times with the clutch depressed with no change and no ability to make it feel right, so i went to 5th and it felt normal. This was all at like 80+ mph
at slower speeds it feels fine and feels like it goes all the way into the gear

Do you still have the stock shifter bracket? These beauties came with a ZIPPTIED rubber brushing. Not exactly the best performance mod. For the cheapo you can go with a Barton shift bracket. For the full deal check out MGW. Bought mine months ago. Installed and I'll never look back. Never missed a shift. Never felt sloppy. Its built beautifully and to last.
Hope that helps.
