anybody use or recommend any fuel system cleaners as general maintainance? I think I read that ford doesn't recommend them for the new coyote motor, and I'm not currently having any issues, I just want to maintain my car as well as I can. any input?

With the 4.6L and the 4.0L (and in my SUV's), I regularly use Techron Fuel System Cleaner at every oil change or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first, as preventive maintenance. If I'm experiencing rough idle or some other issues I suspect are fuel related, I'll use SeaFoam. I keep both on hand as I use these products on all 3 vehicles plus my boat.

Ford's fuel system cleaning is 60,000miles, but that is a REAL cleaning not cans of treatment. A can of Chevron Techron every so often will never hurt.

I guess I'm just itching to do some maintainance, but other than oil and air filters, these new cars don't need much, overall not a bad thing I guess.

Go do some cleaning, take the front end and engine bay plastic covers off and clean those up. Kinda like maintenance.

Foofoo, overpriced boutique cleaner. If you have the cash and it makes you feel better then that or Amsoil's similar foofoo stuff. Techron is as effective and SeaFoam is better, IMO.

I love Royal Purple but Nuke is right if that costs more then Chevron Techron there is no need.
