removing starter?? 97 GT

Default removing starter?? 97 GT

how do i get the top bolt on the starter out? sorry for all the new topics, but this is a pain

Its a huge pain in the ***...i just had mine out thursday when i put a new clutch in. Use swivels and position your hand in hte most awkward angle going straight up and then down haha...

I didnt even put the 3rd starter bolt back in...

I think I used 2; What i did was get the actual socket on the nut by itself. then just pieced suff together from there trying stuff to beable to get to where i could get a wrench on it.

If you're getting the wrench on there and actually cant just turn it.... get some PB blaster and soak it a couple times. Hopefully it will loosen it up for ya.

well i got it...i just pretty much used all my weight, and one of the dowels in the swivels broke, lol. at the same time it loosened the bolt up a little. so i got a small 1/4 drive ratchet and somehow got it up in there and just turned it about a mm at a time. it will be alright if i dont put that one back on right?

I think so, I put mine back in; but just tightened it with my hand...i figure if it falls out whatever; I dont think it will hurt anything.
