What are the signs that your T-housing is going bad? Just curious.....I only have 12K miles on my stang.

Thanks Roy, now that you mention it I do remember when I owned an '82 GT the T-housing went bad. It left coolant on the passengers side of the car. I believe it was around 80K miles on that car when it happened. It was a PIA to change.

Couldn't be happier to see this is FINALLY available. Must just pick one up as a "Just in case" precaution.

I'm not very mechanically inclined by any stretch lol but I was able to take of the thermostat housing on mine, as well as the thermostat without any major issues. It's maybe an hour-hour and a half job the most. Simple set of hand tools will get'r done.

My thermostat housing starting leaking from the backside and into the "V" of the engine.

The 1st sign is smelling the coolant that is setting in the "V" of the engine. Next sign, the leak gets worse and coolant will eventually start dripping onto the ground.

I replaced out the thermostat housing 6 months ago and am still experiencing coolant leak. It looks as though, when running at temperature, the coolant is leaking around the freeze plug, in the engine.
