Default dumps or no?

My car has stock manifolds, O/R X pipe no cats, and 2.5" flowmaster 40s, and the exhaust exits at the rear bumper with tips. its loud and sounds amazing, but I am wanting to see how dumped flowmasters would sound with my setup. I love the tone of a flowmaster with turndowns on.

My main concerns are drone, and exhaust fumes getting in the car. Sitting a red light i can smell my car pretty good, but driving i can't.

What are your opinions on dumping the exhaust? and share your experience please!

I've actually seen claims that the drone is less with dumps, its apparently louder but not as drone prone. The length of the tail pipes is apparently resonant right around 2100 RPM so they make the drone worse.

I had 40 Series Flowmasters on several cars, all with the exhaust ending at the rear bumper. Although I love the sound the drone gets annoying after driving for some time at highway speeds, I think it only gets worst if you dump the exhaust right behind the mufflers.

On my car I have stock headers, no cats, and a Borla sytem with a X-pipe. Not as loud as the Flowmaster American Thunder system but still sound great and no drone at all.

I run hooker long tubes with magnapacks bolted directly to them with turndowns on the end of those, exhaust stops right under my seat. in my car, I cant even hear myself think, but that's my opinion. if this was my DD I would leave it shooting out the back.
