Default Headers for 68 mustang

Hi,
I looking for the best headers to put on my 68 mustang fastback. I have a 289 4 bbl with a 4 speed top loader and i have in head to put a flowmaster super 44 series muffler ( #17281) !!

I have heard the try-y headers are the way to go. I have headman headers and I like them a lot. FYI the 44s are really loud inside while cruising on the freeway. It gets old quick.

soo you recommende a other kind of exhaust ? Yes, i ear that the try-y headers are the way to go but i not really sure what kind its better to go with a reasonnable price !

tri ys are nice but some have clearence problems I know a lot of people move to ported K code manifolds you get a bump in flow but they have nice thick flanges and dont have any clearance problems

but if i restore my car with all original stuff also with the original power steering, i will still have a clearance problem with any kind of header ? i just want to change header and exhaust from the original car !? Sorry for my english it's not my first language !
