Default Need help with this front bumper part

I have scuffed up the lower black portion of my front bumper pretty bad on one side. It is the black part that juts out a bit just in front of the wheel. It appears to be one piece that goes from one side to the other. It is part number 17A989 on the attached diagram. What I want to know is how difficult it is to replace. Also, there is painted portion at the bottom. Is the painted part a separate piece or will I have to have that section painted onto the part I need? If it is two separate pieces, I would assume it is an easy fix. Finally, are there any screws, clips, etc. I need to also order?

That is helpful. Thanks. It's a bit more complicated than expected. I didn't realize I would have to remove the entire front bumper.

Not a big deal to remove the front bumpers on our cars. A few screws and a couple tabs that snap together and you will have it laying on the driveway in no time. Easy directoins are online.

Make sure you get some of the stock retainers that hold the inner fender on. I had to break most of mine to get them out.

Do I need to get those at the dealer, or are they a common item?

They should have them at Napa, Oreilly, etc. they will be all of $.30 a piece, but you've got to have the. The entire process is really easy though, don't let it intimidate you. Take your time.
