I put my bbk cai on my 2004 gt and did not require a tune and everything worked out find.what I found is the sound got deeper but it seems to me that it had more pull power with the stock intake.could that be possible the car runs find with that extra air do I still need a tune.thinking about putting the stock intake back on.

Your BBK CAI will enhance the look of your engine but that's about it. The stocker will be just fine until you start modding her.

I think you would benefit from a tune no matter what. A hand held tuner would be good.

CAI is just more noisy. I took mine off and went back to stock....no difference in power that I can feel. I don't have to "plastic bag" the air filter anymore when washing the engine compartment.

I liked the sound it would make on a Pontiac G6 GTP I used to own. From reading on this forum no real power gains on Stang though.
