2002 V6 Mustang Transmission Grinding in Extreme Cold
Well it's -19 and about -35 or so with wind chill. Mostly all winter my car has been making a grindy noise when I decelerate(grinding happens mostly when the car is very slow while braking near a stop). For the longest time I was thinking maybe it's something lose in the front, maybe my licence plate flapping. Today though it's really really cold. Putting the car from D to N just to see and wow, it's grinding on neutral. Did not go away after a 35 minute driver home from work as well. I get a strong feeling it is the transmission. My stang has 310 000KMs on it so it's not new. But I also can't afford any repairs at the moment. I hope I only need fluid change or something.
Please someone knowledgeable help me. Thanks guys.
