I am considering adding a Supercharger to my 2006 GT Convertible. More than likely, it will be the Edelbrock Stage 2.

My question is, after I add the power to the engine, are there things that I MUST do to ensure that I don't trash the rest of the car? Axle, Lug nuts, Shocks, Bearings, etc... due to increased torque etc.

I don't race it and during the summer, it's my DD. Just want what most want, more power!

Just be ready to buy lots of rear tires. And if you're using your stock clutch, it will only hold on so long. I've put about 4000 on my car since supercharging, and that's all I've seen so far.

LCA's for wheel hop issues, catch can, and possibly a PA transmission pan. The extra fluid will help your tranny and u will be able to check it which is a plus. Aside from that you should be ok. If you track the car then obviously some slicks, one piece driveshaft. Enjoy it but don't let it get to your head.

TX_zstang that is zoo funny. It's been pretty cold here this week, -25 C (-13F) all week so, yup, I can relate.

On another note, of course, my Wife says "why do you want more power? " I explained it to her in simple terms. It makes your panties wet..... Nuff said.

If you don't plan on racing the car other than a few pulls here or there while on the freeway, or doing smokey burnouts, there really isn't a ton of stuff you will need to do. LCA's not a bad idea and a 1pc DS. Not sure how hot it gets during the summer in Canada, but you could look at an upgrade HE. And a really good tune. Have fun! I had a Saleen SC on my car for 3 or 4 years loved it.

Relative "need": Tire & Suspension upgrades! Especially with a PD blower!

You will likely need/want better tires, rear trailing arms to better control wheel hop, and your clutch will be on borrowed time. We carry solutions for all those issues if need be.
