Hey everyone, I need some help. Does anyone have any experience doing an auto-manual swap in a 4.0 '05? Or even an entire engine-tranny swap to put in a 4.6 with the manual on it? I was looking at buying a totaled 4.0 and just taking whatever I needed out of it, but I don't exactly know what I need. I've search for a while but haven't found any good threads on the subject so I was hoping ya'll could help.

Try Mustang Collective. It's a 4.0 specific site and they do a lot of stuff like that.

i have the exact opposite issue, Im wanting to swap an manual to an auto and cant find any answers!

TBH, for the money and time your going to invest in the swap, find yourself a good used GT. decent mileage cars are sub 10k and most you can find tastefully modded, just get in and go. if your dead set on doing the swap, most forums have motor swap sections and stickys to help you out. good luck
