Default No Springs Cam upgrade

I'm hoping to find advice on cams that don't require spring upgrades. 04 GT N/A mildly modified. Looking for that old school muscle rough idle sound, as well as the moderate power gain that comes with any cam upgrade. Also, would a TB and plenum upgrade have any effect? Currently running stock TB/plenum with intentions to purchase upgrades tomorrow.

The only cam you can use and keep the stock springs are stage 1 I believe. Everything else recommendeds new springs.

You can also go with HP 292 cams. They're regrinds though.

How much of a difference am I looking at with stage 1 from stock? Is it worth the 800?

Well comp cams from American muscle are right at $600 580 something I believe. But stage 1 is a little difference. Just YouTube some videos. It is worth it if you want to keep stock springs and etc. Noticeable power gain and idle.
