I just bought a 2014 V6 Premium and the 3rd day off the lot I have a flat. A damn nail went through my tire. I am going to have it patched tomorrow, how long do these patches typically last? The life of the tire or should I count on getting a new one fairly soon down the road. Keep in mind the car has 8000 miles on it.

I've had a few tires patched in my time and they never failed. As long as it's done right, it shouldn't be a problem.

I had one a patch put on my conversion van over 10 years ago and it is still holding up.

Perfect, I had it patched so hopefully it stays that way for the life of the tire. Hope the car isn't bad luck with repairs.

+1, I never had an issue again with patched tires.

It can probably be safely patched as long as it's NOT in the sidewall. Too much flexing.
The best way to patch a tire is on the inside.

I've had a few patches done before with my old tires and they held. With these new set of tires, I've already had one patchwork done and so far so good.

Be careful with a patched tire at the track. Keep an eye on it.

That scares me.. luckily I've got a fresh set of wheels/tires going on whenever the weather decides to stay in the 50s.
