Default Landed a new 2014 GT

Since I sold the '67 track car over the Holidays I've had the need for speed again, so I picked up this little gem brand new at a local dealer just a few weeks ago.

2014 Premium GT "Brembo Edition" Black on black leather, heated seats and "SYNC", with 6-speed, 3.73's, 19" wheels and 14" Brembos up front.

Mods so far include 3" mandrel stainless cat-back exhaust system with x-pipe and custom axle-back kit with 40-series Flows.

Ford really put together a solid car and I've been enjoying it a lot. Still only have about 800 miles on the clock so I've been being easy on it. I was able to turn a 12.9 @ 113 MPH according to the onboard 1/4 mile timer, short shifting at about 6200-6300 RPM and annihilating the tires in 2nd gear. I figure I can pick up a few more tenths in due time. Here are a few pics...

Nice, wider tires will give you better times. Welcome to the "Electronic Hot Rod Age".

Just ordered a Steeda Triax shifter and a $15 Energy Suspension bracket bushing. ...Middle of the road price-wise yet effective solution for the stock "****"fter.

Good taste! My black GT Track Pack is on order. Some GT500 axlebacks and an energy suspension bushing will get here before the car does. I've read more than once that the ES bushing is one of the best bang for buck mods you can do, figured I'd give it a go. I was happy with the throws on the car I test drove so didn't bother with the shifter...at least not yet.

Congrats on the car, keep posting about it so I can lose more sleep waiting!

Thanks! Awesome that you are ordering yours how you want it. I actually wasn't going to shill out the cash for a new car but this car just happened to be on a lot with a few manufacturer rebates and I couldn't refuse the deal I got on the price. I was actually looking for a used Boss or Shelby and instead decided to jump on this one since the price was about 9-grand back on the sticker price, all said and done. So far no regrets. I will keep posting, definitely looking forward to seeing pics and comments about yours when it arrives!

Awesome, bw. I love the black stangs. I didn't know that they had the quarter mile app. I'll have to try it out.

It's the "Race on Sunday, Race yourself on Monday" app.

I just ordered an MGW shifter for mine, but what is an "Energy Suspension bracket bushing"? Does it have something to do with the rear shifter bracket? Thanks, because I'm all over those cheap(inexpensive)mods!
