... change the rear gear from 3.31 to 3.73?
Is it just changing the gears in the housing of does it require to reprogram anything? I am talking about the manual transmission.
The story is: I am looking for a gray 2014 GT with 3 different specific options one being the rear 3.73. I can't find one in gray but I can find it in silver. I found one gray with the other two options but without the 3.73.

It requires a re-program or your speedometer will be off.

Dealership quoted me $1,000 to do it (not including parts).

I had a guy do it for me for $250. (install) and I used my SCT handheld tuner to change the gear ratio to 4.10s. SCT Tuner is like $400. But it also lets you tune the car (more HP, voids warranty on engine)

You should have it done by a professional, gears are very specific and if not installed near perfect they will make noise and fail over time!
