Cobra eating those ls's
Spending this weekend with all my old friends on a little vacation this weekend, was able to get a couple races in. First was a 99 Trans am, forged ls1(stock size), ported 5.3 heads, ms4 cam, ls6 intake, full exhaust, built/stalled 4l60, 12 bolt with 3.73's, usual bolt ons. We did a 40 roll and 60 roll, both resulted in me winning by ~ 1.5-2 cars by 120 or so. Had to let out a little early due to traffic.
Second race was an 06 Gto. Built/forged 403ci shortblock, ported ls3 heads/intake, custom cam, built/stalled auto Trans, usual bolt ons. Only got one good 40 roll, and I killed him. I was spraying on this race tho. Vid doesn't do it justice. I've got vids from the first race and some from my car of the second that I'll upload later. Here's a crappy vid from in the goat to get you by tho.

Not sure, far as I know he doesn't think anythings wrong with it. I guess he raced another cobra where we were at with 540whp and lost by 3 cars. I think he needs a better tune myself.
Last year I didn't spray, didn't have my port or lower pulley, and had 3 passengers to his 1 and with crappy shifting I lost by 2-3 cars, with the same passenger amount and if I woulda shifted it like I did this past race I think he woulda got my by a car. With nitrous I have about 100whp over that setup last year, still dont think I shoulda beet it like I did tho, i figured maybe a 3 car win, not like 7 lol.
Anyways, here's the better race of the ls1 car, looks like it was closer than I thought, more like a 1 car win, had he been able to stay in it as long as I did It might have been the 1.5-2 cars that I thought but all well, I won. lol.

Well we found out how big a difference passengers make, so that with slow shifts AND a 100 hp difference...I can see you going from being a couple cars back to blowing his doors off. Sucks for that GTO, putting all that money into it and losing like that. Looks like he needs to get back to the drawing board! Good runs man, I see I have fallen wayyyy behind, lol
