Pioneer avh-p3400bh Question.

Default Pioneer avh-p3400bh Question.

Luckily my buddy just upgraded his car and took out his brand new avh-p3400bh and handed it to me.. has the steering wheel connector but i dont have that.. also has blue tooth which is nice.. anyway my question is what else will i need to install this head unit? wire harness? i know i need a double din kit is this one good?

Do you have a Shaker in your car now? If so, it sends 5V to your subs rather than 12V and you'll need to rig a step down converter. It can be done cheaply using a Radio Shack 7805. Do a Google search and you'll find plenty of posts telling you how. Are you able to find the Metra wiring adapters?

It looks like you have everything you need.

I will say one thing about the parking brake bypass. I used one too on another car. You think it will only be for the benefit of your passenger, but the urge to keep glancing at it is overwhelming and clearly unsafe. I didn't remove it (it was too much of a hassle) but I did move the DVD's to my trunk.

I understand.. Im a hugeee movie guy.. so the only time i would be watching a movie is on break at work which is 45 minutes.. or waiting somewhere in the car.. so to have to put the e break up constantly would be irritating and also my e break seems to be very very tight and i can barley pull it up..

i went to buy it at radio shack and the kid told me thats not for a headunit you have to sotter that or something..
