My friend has a 66 and is wanting to change out the front rotors and pads for new. However, he does not have the standard 10" discs, or even the 11" Granada swap that I am familiar with. He says the rotors are 11.25". What do you all think? Thanks!

Have a better pic of the calipers? I'm thinking maybe big T-Bird brakes...

A pic of the caliper bracket would be nice as well.

02 ranger had 11.279 inch brake rotors on it. 1970s thunder chickens had 11.73 inch rotors. If I had to guess I would say newer ranger stuff, but Id take the rotor and pads to the parts store and start having them compare , or see if you can find a number on anything.

Most parts dweebs don't know enough to be able to identify the brakes even if you bring them in. There aren't many illustrated brake books around anymore, and the ones that do exist often aren't easy to find stuff in. Hell, most parts counter people don't even know where the books are. It's much easier to call A1 Cardone with a casting number from the caliper and ask what kind of car it's from, but even that's a stretch for most people. (I work parts at O'Reilly's)

The reason I want a pic of the caliper and bracket is because Scarebird has a kit that uses Ranger rotors and S10 pads/calipers. I'm not a big fan of the kit, but at least parts are easy to come by.

Take the old pads to the parts store--Ask them to get pads for the 68-73 Mustang/68-71 Torino.

D-34 Pads, compare them to yours, I'm sure they will match.

Then, on the rotors, there was a change in 70--So you need to ID the spindle (MOTOR SIDE, upper arm) C8OA is 68 69 Rotor, DOZA/D1ZA 70-73 Rotor.
