Im trying to use a programmer on my car but i have to remove the fuel pump fuse first. Can anyone tell me where its at on a 98 gt? i looked inside the power distribution box under the hood but the cover doesnt tell which fuse is which?

no one with any info where i can find it, because i have a chiltons manual and the diagram is different then the way my cars setup. can someone take a pic and post it please thanks.

It's not a fuse. More of a connection.


It is in the trunk, right behind the driver side tailight. Youll have to pull the panel/carpeting back to get to it.

so the 98 mustang gt has no fuse for the fuel pump? it says it does in the chiltons manual and also in the programer directions but doesnt tell me exactly which one it is. anyone use a tuner on there 98? if so what did you do for where it tells you to pull the fuel pump fuse?

That's an inertia switch. The fuel pump fuse should be under the hood if it's the same as '99-'04 models.

from what i understand it a 20 amp fuse but the only fuses i see like that are the little tiny mini fuses, could that be it?

Yes it's a mini-fuse.
