Razor blades and bare fingers do not go well together. HOW I didn't bleed all over the carpet during the installation, I do not know, but again, my husband was ready to walk away from it in frustration. We didn't know NEW carpet came with NO holes cut in the floor. I pondered it a moment, almost gave up too, then held a razor aloft and said, in the words of my own brother, "F*^@ it. Let's do this." After a lot of blood, sweat and swearing, maybe even a coldbeer for good measure, I had it installed myself in a few hours. At least two fingers were sliced and were held together with neon green masking tape by 3M to prevent getting carpet fibers into the cut. Good stuff that tape! I was going to go with more billet on the interior, and had a Reaper AOD shifter in mind, but decided I like it better blacked-out. The window controls in the door panels will get a billet face lift in the near future though, just because the stock ones look crappy.
